I have always taken walking for granted. It's something I do to get from point A to point B, and I never really gave it much thought. However, lately walking has taken a bit more effort, and I am often reminded of aging as the act of walking leads to aches and pains. Today my challenge was to lace up my sneakers and take a stroll outside. However, circumstances kept me away from completing this daily challenge. Instead the need to sit and be present was my main focus. I will find time over the next few days to squeeze in a walk. For now, I sit in the knowledge that sometimes the most difficult treks we make in life are not done by the physical act of walking. Rather it is the journey we take in our minds as we navigate unknowns.
